The Garden Centers Club of Laguna Woods is a thriving community of nature lovers, growers, and neighbors who share a passion for cultivating beauty, health, and sustainability through gardening. Whether you’re planting your first seedling or harvesting homegrown vegetables, our club brings together residents who enjoy getting their hands in the soil and their hearts in the community.
Through educational workshops, friendly gatherings, and shared wisdom, we support each other in creating vibrant garden spaces and meaningful connections.
Club Meetings
Mar 5 Meeting will not be tomatoes it will be Pollinators. Lola Madden and The Garden Club Members are invited to join us the price will be $5 for anyone without a dish. John is a horticulturist and will speak, along with Annie Zipkin whom will talk about companion plantings.
Farmer’s Market
Charity sale in support of local Meals on Wheels. In July 2026 when the gardens are overflowing, we ask all gardeners to contribute their excess produce, flowers and plants. We sell these to the residents of Laguna Woods and give the money to Florence Sylvester Memorial Center to pay for meals for Laguna Woods residents.
Wine and Cheese Parties
In summer, 2026, the club will host a series of wine and cheese parties in the gardens. This gives a chance to those in one garden to meet and tour the other garden. This is an informal event for all gardeners who normally don’t interact.

Sunrise to Sunset
Garden Center 1 is a cherished community oasis where residents cultivate their passions and grow fresh produce. Boasting 172 garden plots and 132 fruit-tree plots. This welcoming center provides ample space for gardeners to nurture organic fruits, vegetables, and trees.
The facility is also equipped with five well-maintained equipment sheds stocked with plenty of wheelbarrows and wagons.

Garden Center 2 is a vibrant and sprawling community garden where residents cultivate connections as well as crops. With an impressive 596 garden plots, 118 tree plots, 8 pods and a charming shade house perfect for orchids and potted seedlings, this center offers everything a gardener needs—plus four equipment sheds stocked with shared tools.

The Giving Garden 🍊 began with a journey—and a realization. Two Laguna Woods gardeners, while traveling through villages in Africa, were moved by how communities supported one another with what little they had. When they returned home, they took a closer look at their own backyard and discovered something just as compelling: 21% of Laguna Woods residents live below the poverty line, according to the census. The Pollinator Project 🐝 was created by a passionate group of gardeners at Garden Center 2 in response to an urgent and heartbreaking reality: our pollinators are disappearing. Read More
Our annual charity Farmers Market brings together 50+ volunteers who start in March by handing out starter plants and, by June, prepping donated planters of succulents and blooms. The eve before, teams harvest produce, set up tables, cut flowers, and bundle herbs. At dawn on market day, we gather the last leafy greens—everything we need to welcome visitors and support our local charities. Read More
